Applied Poetics: The Erotic Life is a Burrowing Life (with Pheonix Yemi)

Writing, Making

The Erotic Life is a Burrowing Life: A Study in Excavation
Led by Phoenix Yemi

What is buried is not always lost.

As part of the Applied Poetics series, this intimate workshop explores writing as a practice of excavation.

Together, we'll move beneath the surface of language, approaching desire, dreaming, memory, repression and sensation as places to linger rather than problems to solve. Through guided prompts, continuous drawing, freewriting and collective reflection, we'll consider what lies dormant, what refuses language, and what becomes possible when we allow ourselves to burrow.

No previous writing experience is necessary. Just bring your curiosity, a willingness to dig, and whatever has been quietly following you.
