We're delighted to introduce our first Poem Share Workshop.

Poem Share is a low-fuss gathering where language is met with listening. This extended session builds on that ethos, creating more time to dwell with poems & write together.

Across two and a half hours, Shannon will offer a series of writing prompts, and share some of her favourite poets/poems.

About Shannon

Shannon S. Meekings is a queer, Jamaican & English poet, exploring ancestry as inheritance, and queer identities through written poetry and performance. Shannon's work has appeared in The Poetry Review, The Present Tense Zine, fourteen poems, Propel Magazine and is forthcoming in Wasafiri and The Queer Pastoral anthology. She has headlined readings at Tank Magazine, Montez Press Radio and more. Shannon hosts a monthly Poem Share at Present Tense in Newington Green and is currently working on her debut pamphlet
