Present Tense Zine (PTZ) 3: Almost Nothing LONDON Performance + Release

Reading, Performance

We’re thrilled to invite you to the London launch of Present Tense Zine 3: Almost Nothing on Saturday 7 November at Present Tense.

For our third edition, Present Tense founder Bianca Pina worked with Paris-based musician Hugo Abraham to develop our most sonic edition of the zine yet.

Almost Nothing explores an economy of material, radically less, and the quality of silence. Across poetry, sound, image and object, the issue gathers works that linger with repetition, interruption, duration and the strange abundance that can emerge from almost nothing.

The printed zine is accompanied by an audio edition, bringing together recordings by the contributing poets and artists. For the London launch, the zine will move back into live space, with readings and performances from contributors alongside a performance by Paris-based musician Seijiro Murayama, whose practice explores listening through voice and a reduced drum kit.
