I Am the Performative Object is a dynamic rush of late afternoon and evening performances that close the public event programme of Field Studies: Present Tense, a five-day teaching residency exploring performance as a form of group research and collective practice.

The evening features performances by Lin Chiwei, Cedrik Fermont, Martin Sigler + Damsel Elyisum, alongside work in progress developed by Field Studies participants with the artists during the residency.

Cedrik Fermont brings a performance lecture on relation and encounter animated by noise, electronic and electroacoustic practice. Martin Sigler performs a reading of the eponymous I Am the Performative Object to an ambient soundscape created by Damsel Elysium.
